Carlton Project

Nagy Design Pty Ltd for Carlton Project
(03) 9560 5454
(Also winner of Austral Bricks Award for Most Effective Use of Brick)

“The client’s brief was to create two luxury apartments from a discarded heritage building in Carlton that were unique in size to the otherwise smaller allotted area,” said Zol Nagy. “Important was to keep its heritage integrity intact, and create interesting spaces throughout. City views were also high on the wish list.”

“Originally established and occupied by the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, this excellent heritage example has undergone a breathtaking transformation, retaining all its grandeur and generosity of proportion, creating twin three-level apartments, which are now being enjoyed by their occupants through clever design and space management,” said Geoff Hoare, Chair of the Judging Panel.
