Silverleaves Project

WinnerResidential Design: New Houses $300K-500K

Designer: Beaumont Concepts Builder: Constructing Spaces
Photographer: Impress Photography Location: Silverleaves, VIC

In a keenly contested category, this residence, nestled neatly within the natural landscape and its elegant use of timber to create an inviting approach and great spaces, resonated with the judges as being the winner. The dwelling has been sited exceptionally well, enabling all the main entertaining and living spaces to be orientated to the north, filling the spaces with natural light. The large overhanging eaves allow protection from the summer heat, but also allow these spaces to capture the sun during the winter months. This house has adopted a lifestyle approach to its planning of internal and external spaces, allowing for informal, easy and relaxing living, which is well suited to its site and location. The central location of the kitchen and the use of a large pass through window and bar seating area allows for seamless interaction between the food preparation and cooking area, and entertaining outside or in. Interesting detailing throughout, including the use of steel brackets to the pergola, set-down doors, timber balustrade screen devices, built-in outdoor features, BBQ and seating along with easy flowing spaces contribute to set this dwelling apart and it receiving the Best Residential Design for its category.
