Quality of Documentation
As Members know, the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office handed down a controversial report in December 2011 on compliance with building permits. This – and the recent Auditing of Draftspersons conducted by the Building Commission – has highlighted some concerns about the quality of documentation being prepared by some building designers and draftspersons. The next BDAV CPD seminar, on Monday, 20 February 2012 will feature Geoff Hoare, a Past President and Fellow of the BDAV, who will talk about Quality of Documentation, focussing not only on the VAGO Report, but also on the results of the on-going audit of Draftspersons. Geoff, who has served on the Building Practitioners Board for the past seven years, has been involved in this audit process, and will also be able to give examples of what is being audited and the breaches that are commonly occurring. This seminar is a MUST ATTEND for all building designers and registered draftspersons, irrespective of how long you have been in practice. For further details, or to register, CLICK HERE.
