Building Commission

Commission in its role to oversee the regulation and administration
of building control in Victoria. Gives details about the various
services (including building permits, insurance, levies, registered
building practitioners, etc.) and initiatives and regulations
in the building industry.
At this website, you can also verify whether
any building practitioners you or your clients intend to engage
are registered, as required by the Building Act 1983.

property, titles & maps and recreation & tourism.
The Planning section at the DSE website
provides details about planning, what's new in planning, the
planning system, planning regulations and legislation, planning
in progress, planning projects, planning Information including
ResCode, and planning publications.
EcoRecycle Victoria

Provides a comprehensive range of information
for minimising waste and litter in Victoria including specific
sections on the building and demolition sector. The BDAV's
publication, produced in conjunction with EcoRecycle, titled
'Designing IN Waste Minimisation' can be downloaded from the
section 'EcoLibrary on the Web'.

information specially for employers, workers and service providers,

on a map of Australia on the front page.
For Victoria, there is information on Wages
and Minimum Conditions (annual leave, sick leave, meal breaks
etc), Public Holidays in Victoria and Fact Sheets. Information
is also provided on the various Industry Sectors, which apply
specifically to Victoria and generally would have application
to most drafting and building design offices.
