New BDAV President

Mr Darryl Crumpton was installed as the BDAV's President at the BDAV's 2008 Annual General Meeting, held 6 October 2008. Mr Crumpton replaces Mr David Mulhall, who was BDAV President for the past two years.

BDAV Participates in Sustainable Roundtable

The BDAV recently participated in the first 'Sustainable Buildings Roundtable' convened by the Ministers Justin Madden and Gavin Jennings.  A report of that event features in the October2008 edition of BDAV News .

Amendment VC49 to Victoria Planning Provisions

The Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) has issued an advisory note setting out changes to the Victoria Planning Provisions (VPP) and planning schemes made by Amendment VC49. Practice Note 55 Updated

The Building Commission has advised that it has updated its sustainability Practice Note 2008-55. This is available by CLICKING HERE.

Increased Wage Rates for Architectural Draftspersons

Members should note that the wage rates for the Draughting, Production Planners and Technical Workers Award have been increased, effective from the first pay period commencing on or after 1 October 2007.  This award governs wages and conditions for architectural draftspersons.  Details have been posted to the 'Member Only' section of this website, for the use of BDAV Members. (Go to 'Business Tools/Free Downloads'). Other persons should contact WageLine on 1300 363 264.
